A home’s landscape is the interface between manmade and natural environments. A good design pulls the best from both of these worlds. Outdoor spaces should function for both people and the ecosystems they reside in, creating inhabitable space for humans and local wildlife. Native plants, local materials and efficient use of space are all necessary elements that add up to a project that reflects the character and value of the region it occupies. By drawing inspiration from modern design principles and ecological stewardship, we can create win-win designs for people and the planet.

John Majdic
Over the last decade, I have collected practical experience through a variety of jobs and schooling. From working as a general contractor, excavator, and landscape installer to obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Landscape Architecture and teaching courses at Longwood Gardens and UPenn’s Morris Arboretum, each opportunity has served to forge a refined design approach rooted in practicality.
